Notre Dame Kylemore is dedicated to Integral Ecology and the fostering of cross-national research, reflection, and practical action in the promotion of a sustainable future. With Laudato Si’ as its inspiration, ND Kylemore is focused on building an international and cross-disciplinary scholarly community that is in dialogue with policy makers and practitioners.
The goal for this community is to foster research on integral ecology and sustainability between Notre Dame and Irish universities with collaboration from other universities around the world whose expertise and research align with the vision and mission of the centre.
ND Kylemore hosts workshops and conferences for Notre Dame faculty members and researchers from across the world and provides Notre Dame undergraduate students and students from Irish universities with educational programming on integral ecology and sustainability. They will host an annual summer contemplative ecology and sustainability course and will serve as a place where the sciences and theology are in a mutually-enriching dialogue.
