Previous participant testimony

"Thank you all again for taking such good care of us during the residency. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity.

It was transformative for me, both as an artist and as a newly graduated master's student in Social Work from Columbia University, as well as a working professional in a period of life transition. Without the support of the scholarship, I wouldn't have been able to participate -- and I am so glad I was there to develop friendships with some of the other writers.

I came in feeling kind of flat, and left with inspiration. The care and intention you've all put into creating this space is truly felt. Dionne was a priceless resource." --Michelle Welsch, April 2026 Resident
