Join a like-minded community of writers in the peaceful and inspiring surroundings of Kylemore Estate. Nestled in the heart of Connemara, this unique residency offers the perfect setting for creativity, reflection, and focus. Whether you’re completing a project or simply wish to write at your own pace, the quiet comfort of Kylemore provides the space you need.

This independent residency is designed for writers seeking dedicated time and freedom to write. Our hospitality team, including a private in-house chef, will ensure your stay is as enjoyable as it is restorative, with all meals thoughtfully prepared throughout the week.

Notre Dame Kylemore is a retreat like no other in the west of Ireland. Guests enjoy exclusive access to the estate’s historic grounds, accommodation overlooking Pollacappal Lake, and the opportunity to explore self-guided outdoor activities at their leisure.

We warmly encourage you to join us for the scheduled meal times—not only to enjoy exceptional dining, but also to connect with fellow writers and share in the spirit of community.

PROGRAM INCLUDES
  • Private en-suite bedroom
  • Nutritious & filling meals prepared by our in-house chef
  • Access to the abbey grounds & museum
