Join a like minded group of peers in the peaceful and inspiring surroundings of Kylemore Estate for our annual writers residency week. The stunning beauty of the Connemara landscape provides the perfect setting for inspiration and reflection. Take time to complete a piece of work or continue writing at your own pace in a quiet and comfortable environment.
This independent, self-guided residency is for writers wanting the time and space to write. Our hospitality team, including our in-house private chef, will look after all of your meals and ensure your visit is as enjoyable as it is comfortable over the course of the week. Notre Dame’s Kylemore Abbey Global Centre is a facility like no other in the west of Ireland, with exclusive access to the Kylemore Estate grounds and luxurious rooms overlooking the Pollacappal lake.
Your meals and some optional outdoor activities will be provided so you can enjoy the estate at your leisure. We kindly ask you join us during the allocated meal times and see this as an opportunity for you to meet your fellow writing community.
