FAQs for Inspirational Leadership at Kylemore

Is this a new program?
No. This program has been offered in some format or another at Notre Dame since 2003. It has been delivered Ireland since 2016.

Where is the program held?
Inspirational Leadership at Kylemore is delivered at the University of Notre Dame's global site, Notre Dame Kylemore. ND Kylemore is part of the world-renowned Kylemore Abbey located in Connemara, County Galway, Ireland.

How do I get there?
Visitors to Ireland can arrive at either Dublin or Shannon International Airports. Car rentals are available at both locations. Bus service is also available from Shannon, Dublin and Galway. For more information visit our website Contact page.

When can I register to attend?
You can register at any time. We recommend that you complete your registration as soon as you are able in order to secure your place in the class.

What makes this program unique?
The integral leadership framework, distinctive content, 360 assessment and coaching, self-reflection, and iconic Irish location combine to create a life-changing and unique leadership development experience. The difficult work of becoming a better leader requires time, space, and guidance. The content delivered will challenge your current assumptions about leadership, provide you with new tools and perspectives, and allows time for the reflection needed for the development of a plan moving forward to ensure your learning objectives are accomplished.

Where will I stay during the program?
There are sleeping rooms for the first 14 registrants at the Notre Dame annex at Kylemore Abbey. These are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Other registrants will stay at the Kylemore Inn, located 5 minutes from the Abbey.

What is covered by the program fee?
The program fee covers instruction; lodging; meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), receptions and breaks during the program; materials; 360 assessment; a 90 minute one-on-one executive coaching session; and full access to Kylemore Abbey and the Victorian Gardens. It does not cover your travel costs to/from or within Ireland.

What happens if we can’t travel to Ireland for the October program due to COVID travel restrictions?
If there are still travel restrictions in place for October, you will automatically be registered for the next delivery of the program scheduled for May 30 – June 2, 2022 or October 10 – 14, 2022.

Do I need to be vaccinated to attend the program?
Because of the unique impact of travel to and within Ireland, all registrants are expected to be vaccinated. This should assure you of access to Ireland and the EU. Additionally, we anticipate that many airlines will require that you be vaccinated in order to fly. Additionally, the University of Notre Dame is requiring all students, faculty and staff to be vaccinated when they return to campus for the fall semester. Notre Dame Kylemore operates fully under Irish Government guidelines on COVID-19 and is registered under Failte Ireland's Safety Charter, designed to give comfort and reassurance to employers, employees and customers that a business is ready to re-open and operate safely.
