Is this a new programme?
No. This programme has been offered in some format or another at Notre Dame since 2003. It has been delivered in Ireland since 2016.
Where is the programme held?
Inspirational Leadership at Kylemore is delivered at the University of Notre Dame's global site, Notre Dame Kylemore. ND Kylemore is part of the world-renowned Kylemore Abbey located in Connemara, County Galway, Ireland.
How do I get there?
The Notre Dame Global Centre at Kylemore Abbey & Gardens is located on the N59 between Leenane and Clifden. Driving time from Galway is approx 1 hour 20 mins, from Westport 50 mins & from Clifden 25 mins. For more information visit our website Contact page.
Visitors to Ireland can arrive at either Dublin or Shannon International Airports. Car rentals are available at both locations. Bus service is also available from Shannon, Dublin and Galway.
When can I register to attend?
You can register at any time. We recommend that you complete your registration as soon as you are able in order to secure your place in the class.

The content delivered will challenge your current assumptions about leadership and provide you with new tools and perspectives. The programme also allows time for the reflection needed for the development of a plan moving forward to ensure your learning objectives are accomplished.
Where will I stay during the programme?
There are sleeping rooms for the first 12 registrants at the Notre Dame annex at Kylemore Abbey. These are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Other registrants will stay at the Kylemore Inn, located 5 minutes from the Abbey.
What is covered by the programme fee?
The programme fee covers instruction; lodging; meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), receptions and breaks during the programme; materials; 360 assessment; a 90 minute one-on-one executive coaching session; and full access to Kylemore Abbey and the Victorian Gardens. It does not cover your travel costs to/from or within Ireland.
When do I need to arrive for the programme?
The programme begins with dinner and introductions on Monday evening, prior to the start of classroom sessions on Tuesday morning. Participants are asked to arrive on Monday afternoon before the main gates to Kylemore close at 5:00pm (1700). Arrangements can be made to accommodate a late arrival, if necessary.
What is the Payment and Withdrawal Policy
All payments must be received in full one week prior to the programme start. Due to program preparation and administration costs, any cancellations/withdrawals received 30 days or less before the programme begins are not eligible for a refund. Registrations may be transferred to another individual for attendance at that session or deferred to the next scheduled programme date.
What about Cancellations & Refunds
- Registrations can be canceled for a full refund within 30 days of full payment, provided that the program start date is at least 30 days in advance of the receipt of the cancellation request.
- Cancellation requests made 31 days or more after full payment is received and at least 30 days in advance of the program start date will incur a $500 administrative fee per canceled registration.
- If the cancellation request is received fewer than 30 days before the program start date for any reason, then no refund is available
Once classes begin, participants will not receive any refund if they elect to withdraw for any reason. However, they may elect to take the course at another time at a reduced rate (50% of current tuition) on a space available basis.
